The College at Brockport Football team scored over 40 points in a game for the third consecutive week but dropped a 56-42 decision to SUNY Cortland Saturday in the final home game of the season for the Golden Eagles in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Bob Boozer Field at Special Olympics Stadium in Brockport.

After falling behind 21-7 in the first quarter, Brockport (3-6 overall, 2-6 NJAC) scored 28 points, including a touchdown with eight seconds remaining in the first half, to take a 35-28 lead into the intermission.

In the first half, Brockport had two touchdown runs by senior Aaron Zurn (Sidney, NY/Sidney), a rushing TD by senior quarterback Jake Graci (Farnham, NY/Lake Shore) and two touchdowns through the air with Graci connecting with senior Matt Newman (Unadilla, NY/Unatego) and then throwing an 11-yard scoring pass to sophomore Tamere Shannon (Buffalo, NY/McKinley) to end the half.

Cortland (7-2, 7-2) answered with three rushing TDs in the third quarter for a 49-35 lead and then scored with less than five minutes to play for a 56-35 lead.
Brockport added one more late touchdown when Joe Scibilia (North Tonawanda, NY/Starpoint) connected with senior Hector Rosas (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) for the final score.

Graci finished with 305 yards passing on 21-of-42 and three touchdowns. Newman, Rosas and senior Felipe Diaz (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga) each had six catches with Newman leading the way with 94 yards. Zurn led the Brockport rushing attack with 71 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Junior Nathan Bull (Brockport, NY/Brockport) had 13 tackles while Derek DeCandia (Beacon, NY/Beacon) and Jake Ekross (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) each finished with nine tackles.
