Women's Swimming & Diving Posts First Win
Golden Eagles sweep Wells in dual

Freshman Olivia Spicer (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) won two individual events to lead The College at Brockport Women’s Swimming and Diving team to a 74-34 victory over Wells College Saturday afternoon in Ithaca, NY. The Brockport men also posted a victory with a 73-43 win at Wells.
Spicer was the top finisher in the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke with times of 1:07.87 and 2:30.52, respectively. Other winners for the women included Nicole Morgan (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) in the 1000 freestyle, Christina DiGiorgio (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) in the 200 freestyle, Eva Lankes (Amherst, NY/Amherst) in the 100 breaststroke, Janey Barrett (Avon, NY/Avon) in the 50 freestyle, Chloe Macdonald (Williamsville, NY/Mt. St. Mary) in the 100 freestyle and Melissa Helm (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) in the 500 freestyle.
Senior Nathan Butler (Camilus, NY/West Genesee) won two events with victories in the 1000 freestyle and the 200 backstroke for the Golden Eagles. Other winners for the men included Steve Brown (Jamesville, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt) in the 200 freestyle, Kenneth Smith (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) in the 100 backstroke, Rob Cornish (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) in the 200 butterfly, Cody Burns (King Ferry, NY/Southern Cayuga) in the 50 freestyle, Nathan Dubois (Mendon, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) in the 100 freestyle, Chris O’Connell (Holbrook, NY/Sachem North) in the 200 breaststroke and Josh Atzrott (Cheektowaga, NY/Cleveland) in the 500 freestyle.
