Dom Gonzalez earns All-America honors at National Championships
Kaitlin Breed and Shannon O'Keeffe also compete at the NCAA Championships for the Golden Eagles
Senior Dom Gonzalez (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) wrapped up his collegiate career at The College at Brockport with his second All-America performance of his career with a sixth-place finish in the hammer throw at the 2009 NCAA Division III Championship meet Thursday at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
Gonzalez had six scoring throws all over 50 meters in distance but had his best effort on his second attempt with a heave of 53.53 meters (175’7”). The final throw of his career was nearly as far, traveling a distance of 53.22 meters. Gonzalez also earned All-America honors a year ago at the NCAA Championships with a seventh-place finish.
