Sophomore Pete Manktelow (Hornell, NY/Hornell) set a new school record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:55.06, and junior Britney Falcon (Victor, NY/Victor) also provisionally qualified for the Championships with a leap of 11.33-meters in the triple jump at the Allegany Meet in Meadville, PA, on Friday.

Manktelow finished 13th overall and was the eighth-best Division III runner in the 1,500-meter run. Falcon took second in the triple jump with her leap of 11.33-meters, which now makes nine different Brockport athletes that have either automatically or provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in two weeks.

Senior Josh Dupuis (Tupper Lake, NY/Tupper Lake) improved his NCAA-provisional distance with a toss of 16.46 meters in the shot put, also a new Brockport school record. The women’s 4x400-meter relay team of Randi DeBoy (Salamanca, NY/Salamanca), Christine Reamer (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca), Shannon O’Keeffe (Boston, NY/Springville-Griffith), and Amanda Elias (Belmont, NY/Genesee Valley) finished third overall with a time of 3:54.20.

Junior Dom Gonzalez (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) won the hammer throw with a heave of 54.58 meters and sophomore Charlie Higgins (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West) finished third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:34.29 leading the Golden Eagle men.
