CHAMPS/LifeSkills Competition Rules
GPA Category
Highest Overall Team and Individual GPA per semester 200 points
Second Overall Team and Individual GPA per semester 100 points
Third Overall Team and Individual GPA per semester 50 points
Eagles Supporting Eagles Category
Teams that support this competition with the minimum quota of eight will receive 100 points. In order to receive the 100 points for quota met, each player much sign-in at the ticket gate. One coach from each team can count towards the minimum quota or an additional 10 points if the quota is already met.
Team Enhancement Category
Teams that support this competition with the minimum quota of 15 people or 50% of the practice squad will receive 50 points. In order to receive the 50 points, each player must sign-in with your team captain or SAAC representative and program director. Forms must be submitted within two weeks of the event. The same activity cannot be used more than once a month. Mandatory “team time” (spring break, intersession, away contests, etc) does not count as team enhancement. **You may only submit two Team Enhancement forms per month for points.**
Community Outreach Category
Teams that support this competition with the minimum quota will receive 100 points. In order to receive the 100 points, each player must sign-in with your team captain or SAAC representative and program director. Forms must be submitted to Susan Hoffman.
Personal Enhancement Category
Teams that support this competition with individual representation will receive 5 points for every team member in attendance up to a maximum of 50 points. If the total goes above 50 points the points will go to the team enhancement category. In order to receive the points, each player must sign-in with the program director. Forms must be submitted to Susan Hoffman within two weeks of the event. See some recommended programs which provide a direct benefit to the individual attending. Programs should be designed to help further growth as an athlete, a student, and as a person.
The SAAC Communication Category
Teams get credit for the hard working members of our Student Athlete Advisory Committee and for the efforts they make to adequately represent the voice of each of our varsity sports teams. Each time a member of SAAC attends a meeting, they are awarded 10 points. Each time a member of SAAC responds to an email query, the team gets 10 points. A maximum of 30 points per meeting or response will be awarded.
