November 15, 2006
Present: Baseball, M & W. Basketball, M & W. Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, M. & W. Lacrosse, M. & W. Soccer, Softball, M. & W Swimming and Diving, M. & W. Track & Field
Absent: Tennis, Wrestling
1. Thanks to George Rich of the Alumni Association for hosting our meeting at the Alumni House
2. Leaf Raking Feedback
- 175 Student-Athletes
- 35 Yards
- $320 Holiday Helping Hands
Conference-wide
- 200 more student-athletes participated compared to last year
- The conference doubles the number of houses raked
3. Holiday Helping Hands
- Need money by next SAAC meeting 11/29/06 (last meeting of the semester)
- Teams that have turned money in are: (ice hockey, field hockey, women’s lacrosse, women’s basketball, baseball and volleyball)
4. NCAA Leadership Conference
- Need 2 males, 2 females all from different teams
- Ashley Broadhurst and Gordon Pritchard are interested
- One male and one female must be an international student or ethnic minority
- Must be returning next year and have a season of eligibility
- If interested or know of a teammate, contact Traci or Susan ASAP
5. Eagles Supporting Eagles
- Swimming & Diving Friday, November 17th at 5:00 p.m.
- Wear beach attire or bring $1 donation and get a free ice cream sundae
6. Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges Qualifications
- Undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 54 credits (or 48 Delta College) and are currently enrolled for a minimum of six credits
- Graduate students must have completed a minimum of 18 credit hours and be currently enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours.
- Have a GPA of 2.75 for undergraduate and a 3.5 for graduate students as of August 2006.
- Demonstrated involvement in campus or community activities while attending SUNY Brockport.
