Stephanie Geer Earns SUNY Chancellor�s Award
Sophomore named the top conference student-athlete for softball

Sophomore Stephanie Geer (Binghamton, NY/Seton Catholic) has been named the winner of the SUNY Chancellor�s Award of Excellence for Softball by the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). Geer sports the top grade point average among the All-SUNYAC selections for softball.

Geer led The College at Brockport Softball team to a 28-13-1 record and a second place finish in the final SUNYAC regular season standings. Geer had team highs for games pitched (21), pitching victories (14), innings pitched (143 2/3) and strikeouts (157). Her 1.09 strikeouts per inning pitched established a new school record at Brockport. She was a first-team All-Region selection by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and was an All-SUNYAC selection as well as a selection to the SUNYAC Tournament All-Tournament team.

The sophomore pitcher is a Chemistry major with minors in coaching and economics and has earned Dean�s List with Honors in each of her first three semesters at Brockport.
