JANELLE FEUZ NAMED SPORTS INFORMATION ASSISTANT

Janelle FeuzJanelle Feuz begins her first year as the assistant sports information director at The College at Brockport and will work with Sports Information Director, Kelly Vergin to cover all facets of the Golden Eagles.

Feuz joins the Brockport staff after spending the last three years as the head sports information director at SUNY New Paltz. At New Paltz, Feuz was responsible for all aspects of athletic media coverage of the university’s 15 intercollegiate programs. In addition to her SID role, she served on the Athletic Directors senior staff, handled assigning of officials and competition contracts. Feuz was part of multiple committees including the Athletic Ceremony, Hall of Fame, Women’s Coaching Symposium and the athlete Ethical Review Board.

Prior to SUNY New Paltz, Feuz spent a year with the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) working as the Sports Publicist. Feuz was responsible for maintaining the SUNYAC website, compiling statistics for the conference’s 20 sports and assisting with all SUNYAC Tournaments.

As an undergraduate, Feuz worked in the Athletic Department at SUNY Geneseo for several years and interned in the Sports Information Office. She was named the Nick Hayes Memorial Award recipient in 2005, which is given to a SUNY Geneseo student who contributes outstanding service to athletics in a non-playing capacity.

She is affiliated with CoSIDA, ECAC-SIDA and NACWAA and serves on the ECAC-SIDA membership committee.

Feuz earned her degree in communication from SUNY Geneseo in 2005 and is originally from Cattaraugus, NY. She is currently enrolled in the Athletic Administration master’s program at Brockport.
