Rob Corinsh Wins Three Events to Lead Men’s Swimming
Cody Burns and Dan Brigano add two wins each against Nazareth

Sophomore Rob Cornish (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) won the 800, 400 and 200-meter freestyle to lead the The College at Brockport Men’s Swimming & Diving team to a victory over Nazareth College Wednesday night at Nazareth. The Golden Eagle Men defeated Nazareth by a 136-75 score. The Brockport Women fell to Nazareth by a 157-84 score.

Cornish swam a 9:26.94 in the 800 and then won the 400 in 4:34.51 and the 200 in 2:09.35 for the Golden Eagles (2-0). For the men, Cody Burns (King Ferry, NY/Southern Cayuga) was a double-winner, taking first place in both the 50 and 100-meter freestyle events with a time of :25.96 in the 50 and :57.71 in the 100. Diver Dan Brigano (Utica, NY/Utica Proctor) won both the diving events for the men with a score of 220.05 in the one-meter event and a 233.05 on the three-meter board.

For the Brockport Women (1-1), Catie Swartz (Auburn, NY/Auburn) won the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:05.33. Nicole Morgan (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) was the first-place finisher in the 200 backstroke with a winning time of 2:39.49 and Maria Quagliana (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) won the one-meter diving and finished second on three-meter for Brockport.
