Tennis Rebounds with 8-1 Win over Oswego
Kristen Hemingway and Katie Keller win at top doubles for Brockport

Sophomore Kristen Hemingway (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) teamed with junior Katie Keller (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) for an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles to lead The College at Brockport Tennis team to a dominating 8-1 victory over SUNY Oswego Friday afternoon at Brockport.
Brockport (4-4) won all three doubles matches and each of the top four singles matches before adding a close victory at No. 6 singles for the 8-1 victory. The win was the first in nearly a month after four losses, two cancellations and a suspended match through the last three weeks of September.
Hemingway won her 16th straight singles match in dual competition with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles. Erin McLaughlin (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) and Ally Kozlowski (Alden, NY/Alden) teamed for an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles, and each scored straight-sets victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles action, respectively. Keller added a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles for Brockport before Sarajean Marhone ran her singles record to 6-0 with the lone Oswego victory.
Dana Schulte (Batavia, NY/Batavia) won a close 7-5 victory in the first set at No. 6 singles before cruising to a 6-1 win in the second set for the straight-sets win.
