Golden Eagles Fall 9-0 to Tigers

RIT took a 3-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches. Katelyn Richenberg (Stafford, NY/Batavia) and Natalie Wright (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) posted the closest doubles score of 8-5 at number-two doubles.
In singles play, sophomore Kaitlyn Broderick (Bohemia, NY/Connetquot) played a tough match at third singles. Broderick dropped the first set, 6-3, before coming up on the short end of a 7-2 tiebreaker in the second set after the set was tied at six games apiece.
Brockport looked like they had a chance for a win at sixth singles. First year Kelsey Spinks (Hammondsport, NY/Hammondsport) won the first set, 6-4, but lost set two, 6-3, to force a deciding third set for the second time in two days. Spinks dropped the set 11-9, giving RIT the 9-0 sweep over the Golden Eagles.
