Tennis Competes at New York State Championships
Katie Keller and Erin McLaughlin advance to quarterfinals for Brockport

Seniors Katie Keller (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) and Erin McLaughlin (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) teamed to score a 9-7 first-round victory at No. 3 doubles and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the New York State Tournament over the weekend at Cornell University in Ithaca.
Keller and McLaughlin conceded the quarterfinal match which was to be played Saturday morning. The duo was scheduled to play the eventual champions from Ithaca College.
In singles play, Brockport dropped each of its first round matches, and the Golden Eagles also dropped first-round matches at first and singles doubles.
Keller and McLaughlin were 8-3 during the regular season at No. 3 doubles and Keller led the team with six victories at No. 4 singles. McLaughlin was second on the team with five singles victories at her No. 2 position.
