Alyssa Fitchette Named Honorable Mention All-American and All-Region (11/18/2009)
Alyssa Fitchette adds All-American and All-Region honors to her list of accolades.
Senior adds to her list of accolades
Senior Alyssa Fitchette (Watertown, NY/Watertown) has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-American Team as an Honorable Mention selection for the second consecutive year.
She was also named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First-Team New York All-Region team for the second consecutive year. Fitchette was one of 14 players to earn the honor and one of five to represent the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
Earlier this season she was named the SUNYAC West Division Player of the Year, earned first team all-conference and was on the SUNYAC All-Tournament squad.
The middle blocker led the Golden Eagles to a 19-18 record and a second-place finish in the SUNYAC West Division. The team advanced to the semifinal... read more »
