Kaylen Fessette Named Outstanding Athlete in Volleyball (02/18/2008)

Kaylen Fessette concludes her four-year career as the school's all-time assist leader
Senior Kaylen Fessette (Plattsburgh, NY/Beekmantown) was named The College at Brockport Volleyball Outstanding Athlete for the 2007 season. Junior Bethany Schlegel (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) was named this season’s Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Award winner.
The SUNY Brockport Volleyball team finished with a 22-15 overall record and was 9-1 in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). The team dropped a SUNYAC tournament semifinal match to the eventual champions to end the season.
Fessette was also named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division III All-America Team as an Honorable Mention selection for the second straight season.
