Senior Amanda Yachetta (Falconer, NY/Falconer) recorded 95 assists in four matches over the weekend as The College at Brockport Volleyball team posted a victory over SUNY Potsdam but dropped matches to Nazareth College, Clarkson University and SUNY Fredonia at the RIT Invitational Tournament.

Brockport (6-9) won the first game against Nazareth by a 25-21 score but dropped the next three games, 25-17, 25-8 and 25-22, losing 3-1 to the Golden Flyers. Against Clarkson University, the Golden Eagles split the first two games, losing game one, 25-18, but rebounding for a 25-22 win in game two. Clarkson took a 2-1 advantage with a 25-19 win before Brockport evened the score with a 25-15 victory in game four. The Knights won the tie-breaker game 15-7 for the 3-2 match victory.

On Saturday against SUNY Potsdam, Brockport won in three games with scores of 25-18, 25-8 and 25-18, before falling in three games to SUNY Fredonia by scores of 26-24, 25-17 and 25-22.

Yachetta recorded at least 18 assists in each match with a high of 30 in the Clarkson match. Melissa Maxwell (Batavia, NY/Batavia) recorded double-digit digs in three of the four matches with a high of 14 digs against Nazareth. Kelly Nowak (Orchard Park, NY/Sacred Heart) had 10 kills and 12 digs against Clarkson and added eight kills in the win over Potsdam. Alyssa Fitchette (Watertown, NY/Watertown) recorded 21 kills in the two matches on Saturday, including a team-high 11 kills against Fredonia.
