Volleyball Beats Skidmore and Ramapo
Golden Eagles win fifth straight

Brockport defeated Skidmore by scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-18 and 26-24. Senior Alyssa Fitchette (Watertown, NY/Watertown) led the offense with 21 kills, 12 digs and six blocks. Amanda Yachetta (Falconer, NY/Falconer) finished with 44 assists and Kelly Nowak (Orchard Park, NY/Sacred Heart) served four aces.
The Golden Eagles played a hard-fought four-game match against Ramapo, defeating the Roadrunners by scores of 27-25, 30-28, 20-25, 26-24. Fitchette registered 16 kills and five blocks and Yachetta handed out 36 assists. Alex Stribing (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) tallied four aces and Melissa Maxwell (Batavia, NY/Batavia) collected 12 digs.
Brockport has won five consecutive matches and nine of the last eleven to improve to 15-12 on the season.
The Golden Eagles return to the court next weekend when they travel to Fredonia for the second round of SUNYAC pool play.
