Volleyball Splits on Day One of Pool Play
Brockport Falls to Fredonia Before Defeating Oswego

Brockport (5-1 SUNYAC, 16-13 overall) lost to Fredonia by scores of 20-25, 22-25, 12-25. Alyssa Fitchette (Watertown, NY/Watertown) paced the attack with nine kills and eight digs and Kelly Nowak (Orchard Park, NY/Sacred Heart) chipped in with eight kills. Amanda Yachetta (Falconer, NY/Falconer) handed out 16 assists and collected nine digs.
The Golden Eagles defeated Oswego by scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-22 in the final match of the evening. Fitchette and Kelly Maloney ( Honeoye, NY/Honeoye) each finished with six kills and Breanna Horton (Owego, NY/Owego) handed out 15 assists.
Brockport and Fredonia both sit at 5-1 in the conference; however Fredonia holds the tiebreaker should both teams finish with the same record at the conclusion of tomorrow.
