The State University of New York Athletic Conference announced the members of the 2009 All-SUNYAC Volleyball team today. The Golden Eagles, who finished in second place in the SUNYAC West division with a 6-2 record, had three players earn recognition.

Senior Alyssa Fitchette (Watertown, NY/Watertown) was named the Player of the Year in the West Division and earned first-team recognition, her second All-SUNYAC award after appearing on the first team in 2008. Fitchette led the conference with a .356 hitting percentage on the year and 3.53 kills per game. She is the third SUNYAC West Player of the Year Coach John Tuttle has mentored as Kaylen Fessette earned the honor in 2006 and 2007.

Senior setter Amanda Yachetta (Falconer, NY/Falconer) and sophomore outside hitter Kelly Nowak (Orchard Park, NY/Sacred Heart) were selected by the conference coaches to the second team. It is the first honor for both players. Yachetta was ranked third in the conference as she handed out 8.09 assists per game and Nowak led the league with 68 service aces.
