Senior Brenlyn Campbell (Williamsville, NY/Lewiston-Porter) scored 19 points, including her 1,000th career point for the Golden Eagles, as she led The College at Brockport Women’s Basketball team to a 67-61 victory over SUNY New Paltz in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game at Tuttle North Gymnasium in Brockport.

Campbell scored her 12th point of the game early in the second half to clear the milestone in her three-year career at Brockport. She transferred to Brockport after scoring 310 points in her freshman season at Medaille College and now has over 1,300 career points overall.

Her layup in the second half cut a New Paltz (11-5 overall, 7-2 SUNYAC) lead to a single point at 43-42 and propelled Brockport (9-8, 4-4) on 10-4 run to give the Golden Eagles a five-point lead with 9:02 to play. The Golden Eagles held onto the lead the rest of the way.

Four players scored in double figures with junior Whitney Smith (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) scoring 15 points, senior Molly Brewer (Lockport, NY/Lockport) adding 13 and senior Jen Buskus (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) chipping in 10 points and six assists for the Golden Eagles.
