Senior Molly Brewer (Lockport, NY/Lockport) hit six of her seven free throws in the five-minute overtime period to lead The College at Brockport Women’s Basketball team to its sixth consecutive victory with a 64-58 overtime win over SUNY Potsdam in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game Friday night at the Tuttle North Gymnasium in Brockport.

Brockport (14-8 overall, 9-4 SUNYAC) used a three-point play by freshman Rachel Csakany (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) late in the second half to knot the score at 50-50 with just under a minute to play in regulation and both teams committed turnovers in the closing minute to force the overtime period.

Csakany hit a pair of free throws to open the overtime before Brewer connected on her six free throws and senior Jen Buskus (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) added two more from the charity stripe as Brockport was a perfect 10-for-10 from the line in the overtime.

Csakany led the Golden Eagles with 15 points while senior Brenlyn Campbell (Williamsville, NY/Lewiston-Porter) added 14 points, Brewer chipped in 13 and junior Whitney Smith (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) added 12 to lead the Brockport offense. Csakany had a team-high 10 rebounds while Campbell added eight and Smith seven for the Golden Eagles.
