Melissa Hill Earns Second All-America Award (05/26/2010)
Melissa Hill named All-America
Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association announces year-end awards
Senior Melissa Hill (Rochester, NY/Brighton) was named a Third-Team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.
Hill has already earned All-SUNYAC, All-ECAC, First-Team All-Region honors and was honored as an All-American by www.womenslacrosse.com. She becomes just the second Brockport women’s lacrosse player to earn All-America honors after Courtney Dean won national recognition in 2008.
Hill led Brockport with 48 goals, 11 free-position goals, 67 groundballs, 50 draw controls and 50 caused turnovers as the team finished with a 13-4 record with all four loses coming against teams ranked in the top-20 national rankings.
