Women's Lacrosse Drops Key SUNYAC Contest to Geneseo

Graduate student Julia Decker (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan) scored three goals and freshman Carly Motondo (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) added two goals and two assists but The College at Brockport Women�s Lacrosse team dropped a 10-6 decision to SUNY Geneseo in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) matchup Tuesday in Brockport.

Brockport (3-9 overall, 3-4 SUNYAC) fell behind early as SUNY Geneseo (7-5, 4-3) scored the first two goals of the game. The Golden Eagles battled back with five of the next six goals to take a 5-3 lead into the halftime intermission.

In the second half, the teams traded goals early in the period before Geneseo scored the final six goals of the game for the victory.

Karen Bianchi (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) scored once for the Golden Eagles.
