Senior Courtney Dean (Holland Patent, NY/Holland Patent) has been named a second-team All-American by womenslacrosse.com and has also been named as an Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)/US Lacrosse All-American as a third-team selection.

Dean was one of 48 players from NCAA Division III schools voted to both All-America Teams. She was also named to the IWLCA All-Region team along with teammates Lexie Goodhart (Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) and Kath Villa (Albany, NY/Shaker), and was selected to play in the annual North/South Senior All-Star game.

Dean, a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) First-Team All-Star, started all 18 games for the Golden Eagles who won a school-record 14 games in 2008. She gathered 31 ground balls, caused 21 turnovers and registered 30 draw controls from her defensive position. In her three seasons with Brockport, the women’s lacrosse team had a 37-14 record with school records for wins in a season in 2007 (13) and again in 2008 (14). The Golden Eagles won the 2008 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate New York Tournament Championship after taking second in the 2007 ECAC Upstate New York/Metro Tournament.
