Senior Nicole Gibaud (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) scored three times in the first 50 minutes of the game to lead The College at Brockport Women’s Soccer team to a 7-0 victory over D’Youville College Saturday on A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field in Brockport. The win was the first of the season for the Golden Eagles (1-1).

Gibaud opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, heading in a ball that was loose in the box after Jess Bush (Dryden, NY/Dryden) had her initial shot blocked near the mouth of the goal.

Later in the first half, freshman Sarah Lawson (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) converted a long shot, scoring from 20 yards out on the right side of the 18-yard box for a 2-0 Brockport lead.

Less than five minutes later, Michelle Gibaud (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) scored from outside the box after a long pass from Taylor Lanio (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) to give the Golden Eagles a 3-0 lead at the halftime intermission.

Early in the second half, Nicole Gibaud scored twice in the span of one minute to extend the Brockport lead to 5-0.

Sophomore Julie Seemueller (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) scored two goals in the final 15 minutes of the game for her first career points as a Golden Eagle.
