Four players for the College at Brockport Women’s Soccer team (5-1-2) scored in the second half to give the Golden Eagles a 4-1 win over host SUNY Potsdam (6-2-1) to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games.

Junior Jess Bush (Dryden, NY/Dryden) broke the scoreless tie in the 65th minute on an assist from classmate Abby Smith (Mexico, NY/Mexico). The score remained 1-0 until the 80th minute when senior Jessica VanAllen (Chatham, NY/Chatham) scored at 80:09 on a pass from Bush as she netted her fifth goal of the season.

Potsdam got on the scoreboard 45 seconds later to cut the deficit to 2-1.

Less than a minute later, Smith netted her fourth goal of the season, giving Brockport a 3-1 lead. And with just over a minute to play senior Michelle Gibaud (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) completed the scoring off a pass from her twin sister Nicole Gibaud (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia).

Brockport outshot Potsdam, 22-7, as Erin Asquith (Arcade, NY/Pioneer) made two saves in net to earn the win.

The Golden Eagles will return to the field on Friday, October 2, when they host SUNY New Paltz at 4 pm.
