Junior Jess Bush (Dryden, NY/Dryden) had a goal and an assist for the College at Brockport Women’s Soccer team in the 3-0 win over SUNY Fredonia Friday night in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game in Fredonia.

Bush netted her goal 2:50 into the contest on an assist from Nicole Gibaud (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) which proved to be the game-winner. Her assist came later in the first half on a goal by junior Abby Smith (Mexico, NY/Mexico) in the 25th minute.

Senior Jessica VanAllen (Chatham, NY/Chatham) added Brockport's third goal, from classmate Rachel Murphy (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Sutherland), at the 2:10 mark of the second half.

Brockport goaltender Erin Asquith (Arcade/Pioneer) was credited with eight saves to earn her fifth shutout of the season.

With the win, Brockport stands in third place in the conference standings, one point behind Oneonta and Fredonia. If Brockport wins or ties its game tomorrow against Buffalo State and Fredonia and Oneonta both lose their game tomorrow, then Brockport would clinch the number one seed by virtue of a tiebreak procedure.
