The College at Brockport Wrestling team has earned the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Virginia Duals Tournament starting Friday morning at the Hampton Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia.

The Golden Eagles (1-0), ranked #19 in the most recent National Wrestling Coaches Association (NCWA) Division III rankings, will face St. Andrews Presbyterian College (0-2) in a first-round match at 9:00 am on Friday. The winner advances to face the winner of the Anderson University (3-8) vs. Duquesne University (1-1) match on Saturday afternoon. The losing team in each match will face each other at 1:00 pm Friday.

The eight-team bracket also includes Roger Williams University (5-0) against The Apprentice School (3-3) and Wagner University (0-11) vs. Gannon University (0-1). Gannon is in the also receiving votes section of the latest Division II national poll.

Brockport finished third at the Virginia Duals in 2008.

The Golden Eagles are led by senior Eric VanPatten (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville), who is ranked #4 in the country in the 174-pound weight class.
