Golden Eagles to face Anderson College in a second-round match

The Golden Eagles (2-0), ranked #19 in the most recent National Wrestling Coaches Association (NCWA) Division III rankings, won all 10 matches with Lancasters pin in the 174-pound weight class. Brockport also won by technical fall at 149 pounds as Reece Mariacher (Elma, NY/Iroquois) scored a 15-0 victory. Juniors Shawn Hainey (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood) and Donald Williams (Kendall, NY/Kendall) each scored major decisions. Hainey won a 13-5 major decision at 125 pounds and Williams scored an 11-3 major decision at 165 pounds.
Brockport advances on in the tournament to face Anderson (SC) College, who defeated Duquesne University 30-13, at 2 pm Saturday.
