Wrestling Dominates RIT in Final Dual of the Season
Golden Eagles win a 36-8 decisions over the Tigers

Sophomore Ryan Fallot (Amityville, NY/Kellenberg) and junior Mike Cole (Boonville, NY/Adirondack) each pinned their opponents early in their bouts to lead The College at Brockport Wrestling team to a dominating 36-8 victory over RIT Wednesday night in Clark Gym at RIT in the final dual of the season for the Golden Eagles.

Brockport (6-1) lost just two bouts in the match with crosstown-rival RIT (6-9) and earned a pin from Fallot at 133 pounds just 52 seconds into the bout. Cole followed that up with a pin at 157 pounds with a mere 1:02 elapsed in the bout. The Golden Eagles also won consecutive technical falls with senior Eric VanPatten (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) at 174 pounds and Josh Bloom (Manchester, NY/Geneva) at 184 pounds.

Brockport sophomore Reece Mariacher (Elma, NY/Iroquois) won a 12-1 major decision in his bout at 149 pounds while freshman Tom Voorhis (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) also won a major decision in his bout at 197 pounds with a 14-3 victory.

Senior Donald Williams (Kendall, NY/Kendall) won an 11-6 decision at 165 and junior Jabril Patterson (Syracuse, NY/Adirondack) took a 5-0 decision in the 285-pound weight class for the Golden Eagles. The lone losses came at 125 and 141 pounds as Shawn Hainey (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood) and Josh Bellinger (Rock City Falls, NY/Ballston Spa) each lost major decisions.

In the only exhibition bout, senior Glen DiStefano (Lackawanna, NY/Lackawanna) pinned his opponent in 1:52 of the first round.
