Cross Country Fares Well at St. Lawrence University
Kelsey Conn and Pete Manktelow each finish 11th for Brockport

Sophomore Kelsey Conn (Batavia, NY/Elba) led The College at Brockport Women’s Cross Country team to a fifth-place finish and junior Pete Manktelow (Hornell, NY/Hornell) paced the Brockport Men to seventh place Saturday at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Invitational and Pre-Atlantic Regional Cross Country race at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY.
Conn took 11th place overall with a time of 22:47.9 to lead the Golden Eagles women’s team, ranked 31st in the country, to the fifth-place finish with 145 points. SUNY Geneseo won the event with 60 points followed by SUNY Cortland (76), St. Lawrence (79) and Ithaca College (95). Lauren Mesi (East Aurora, NY/Clarence) was the next Brockport finisher in the 24th position in 23:42.21, followed by Caitlin McAneney (Hornell, NY/Hornell) in 39th place, Jen Fasciano (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) in the 40th spot and Brittany Streeter (Oneida, NY/Oneida) in 50th.
Manktelow led the Brockport men with an 11th-place finish in a time of 26:04.11 and the team took seventh overall as a team with 171 points. SUNY Geneseo again won with 64 points, followed by SUNY Cortland (67), St. Lawrence (81), Ithaca (113), SUNY Plattsburgh (113) and RIT (167). Manktelow was the top Brockport finisher and was followed by Matt Avery (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) in 20th, Augie Oetting (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) in 47th, Doug Teed (Owego, NY/Newark Valley) in 57th and Mike Cocquyt (Hilton, NY/Hilton) in 64th place.
