Cross Country Women Take Sixth at Geneseo
Men place seventh led by two top-20 finishers

Avery completed the 8K course in 26:19.2 as the top Brockport runner and Manktelow was five seconds behind in 18th position. Senior Doug Teed (Owego, Newark Valley) was next for the Golden Eagles in 42nd position in a time of 27:01.4, while Augie Oetting (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) was 44th, three seconds later, and senior Mike Cocquyt (Hilton, NY/Hilton) was the fifth Brockport finisher with a time of 27:20.2.
For the women, freshman Katie Filozof (Conesus, NY/Dansville) was the top Golden Eagle finisher in 33rd position in a time of 24:35.1 in the 6K event. The second finisher for Brockport was sophomore Julia Ruggiero (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) who took 38th in a time of 24:51.5. Freshmen Amanda Sprague (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) and Liz Jones (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) were 46th and 50th, respectively, while sophomore Keelan Walsh (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) was the fifth Brockport finisher, taking 63rd position in 25:42.5.
