Brockport Women Win Fredonia Cross Country Meet
Men finish second at Blue Devil Invitational

Brittany Streeter (Oneida, NY/Oneida) led the way for The College at Brockport Women’s Cross Country for the third consecutive meet in winning the Blue Devil Invitational Saturday at SUNY Fredonia.
The Brockport women scored a perfect 15 points to win the race featuring three teams. The Golden Eagles took the top five scoring positions in the race, led by Streeter who finished with a time of 19:07.00.
The Brockport Men’s Cross Country team scored 40 points and finished second behind host SUNY Fredonia, which won the race with 19 points.
In the Women’s race Brockport won with 15 points followed by Alfred University (49 points) and SUNY Fredonia (90 points). In the men’s race SUNY Fredonia won with 19 points, followed by Brockport’s 40-point second-place finish and Alfred University's 85 points in third.
After Streeter, Brockport’s Caitlin McAneney (Hornell, NY/Hornell) was second, Ashley Beyer (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) was third, Lauren Mesi (East Aurora, NY/Clarence) was fourth and Melissa Wassink (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) was fifth. The five runners crossed the finish line within a span of 38 seconds.
Matt Avery (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) was the top finisher for the Brockport men, crossing the line in third place with a time of 26:19.00. Ryan Gilmore (Auburn, NY/Auburn) was sixth and Greg Selke (North Chili, NY/Churchville-Chili) took 10th for the Brockport men.
