Planning Calendar
Whether you are a freshman, transfer or readmitted student, there are several key dates that you should remember prior to the start of the spring 2010 semester. Please review the dates below and be sure to plan ahead. Also, please visit our Academic Calendar for more important dates.
November
- Student Orientation, Advisement and Registration (SOAR) program information is mailed to new accepted transfer and readmitted students. Check your e-mail for notifications regarding your degree audit report, SOAR information and reservations, and other valuable information.
- The Online Housing Application is available after payment of advance housing deposit.
- Check your Brockport e-mail address — Campus housing and dining information is sent to accepted students who have paid their advance housing deposit.
December
- Spring 2010 advisement/registration information is mailed to new freshmen who have paid their advance tuition deposit.
- December 12: SOAR session for new transfer and readmitted students.
January
- Final high school transcripts, AP score reports and college transcripts for work taken during high school are due for all newly accepted freshmen.
- Final college transcripts are due for all newly accepted transfer students.
- Freshmen expecting college transfer credit should request that official college transcripts be forwarded to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as soon as possible.
- Campus housing assignments are sent via student e-mail address. Welcome Weekend Newsletter is mailed to all new and returning undergraduates.
- Due before classes start: Proof of immunity against measles, mumps, and rubella must be provided to the Student Health Center. Failure to comply will result in class de-registration. See Mandatory Immunization and Health Insurance page for more information.
- Due before classes start: Provide date of meningococcal meningitis vaccination or decline with the Health Center.
- January 4: Deadline for incoming freshmen to return the Course Preference Request survey through our Campus Information System, (Banner Web).
- January 12: Deadline for housing deposits and completion of online housing application.
- January 22: Welcome Weekend (Orientation) begins for all new undergraduates.
- January 22: Open Registration is held for all new students who have not yet registered.
- January 25: Spring classes begin.
- January 27: Deadline to register your vehicle with Parking Services.
