For Students Entering the College Fall 2012

There are requirements, deadlines and important information you need to review and respond to prior to the start of your first semester.

Housing information is e-mailed to students who plan to live on campus and have paid the advanced housing deposit. Students must complete the online housing application by June 1 for best consideration of their preferences. Meal Plan information is included in this e-mail to deposited students.
Learn about our Living Learning Communities.
Fall 2012 advisement/registration information and instructions on how to fill out your Course Preference Survey is mailed. [Triggered by deposit. First mailing is in the beginning of May].
Initiate/complete financial aid application process.
Completescholarship applications.

Mid-April: Register online for Summer Orientation. (Registration for sessions continues through late-May.)

May 25: Deadline to submit the Course Preference Survey and register for Summer Orientation.

Student bills are prepared and mailed to students for the fall 2012 semester.
Waive health insurance charge by deadline if student has comparable coverage.
Check out meal plan options.
Provide immunization records.
Provide Medical Evaluation Form (required for Student-Athletes, highly recommended for all other students).
Freshman Orientation Sessions I (June 25-26) and II (June 28-29).
- Receive fall course schedule.
- Receive your Freshman Summer Reading book.
- Obtain Eagle One Student ID Card.
- Pre-order textbooks.
- Purchase Parking Permit.
- Register for Disability Services (if applicable).
- Log on to Web Banner to:

Final high school transcripts, AP score reports and college transcripts for classes taken during high school are due for all newly accepted freshmen. Forward official transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Freshman Orientation Sessions III (July 2-3), IV (July 9-10), and V (July 12-13). Check the Welcome Week schedule to help plan your arrival on campus.
- Receive fall course schedule.
- Receive your Freshman Summer Reading book.
- Obtain Eagle One Student ID Card.
- Pre-order textbooks.
- Purchase Parking Permit.
- Register for Disability Services (if applicable).
- Log on to Web Banner to:
- - Affirm Enrollment and Accept Financial Responsibility
  - Accept Student Code of Conduct (Available the day following course registration.)
  - Check other required and recommended actions on your personal Action Items Review List
Read your Freshman Summer Reading book.
Register for Saturday of Service happening August 25, 2012.
Join myBROCKPORT.
Check the Welcome Week schedule to help plan your arrival on campus.
July 15: Last day to edit your roommates/preferences on the Online Housing Application.
Late July: Campus housing assignments and roommate information are sent via student e-mail address.

August 24: Open registration for all new students who have not registered for classes. Welcome Week begins for all new undergraduates. Check the schedule to help plan your arrival on campus.
- Once you get to campus: Pick up your FREE Student Planner, compliments of The College at Brockport. The planner is available in residence halls for residential students and from Peer Mentors for off-campus students.
August 27: Fall classes begin.
