Checklist for Enrolling Transfer Students

For Students Entering the College Fall 2012

There are requirements, deadlines and important information you need to review and respond to prior to the start of your first semester.

Upon receipt of deposit:

  • RSVP for Student Orientation Advisement and Registration (SOAR) 
    • To sign up for SOAR: Enter The College at Brockport’s homepage at www.brockport.edu .  In the top right corner of the page, click on the "Quick Links" drop-down menu, then the Web Banner link and follow the instructions on how to log in. Once logged in, select the Student Services link, then Admissions, then select Transfer SOAR Reservation .  We will accept RSVPs beginning February 15.

May

  • Housing information is e-mailed to students who plan to live on campus and have paid the advanced housing deposit. Students are encouraged to complete the Online Housing Application by June 1 for best consideration of their preferences. Meal Plan information is included in this e-mail to deposited students.
  • May 5: Student Orientation Advisement and Registration (SOAR). RSVP required.
  • Waive health insurance charge by deadline if student has comparable coverage.
  • Check out meal plan options.
  • Student bills are prepared and emailed to students for the fall 2012 semester.
  • Final college transcripts and high school transcripts (if necessary).  Forward official transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Register for Saturday of Service happening August 25, 2012.
  • Join myBROCKPORT.

June

  • Housing information is e-mailed to students who plan to live on campus and have paid the advanced housing deposit.   • June 18: Student Orientation Advisement and Registration (SOAR). RSVP required.

July

 August

  • August 6: Student Orientation Advisement and Registration (SOAR). RSVP required.
  • Waive health insurance charge by deadline if student has comparable coverage.
  • Check out meal plan options.
  • Student bills are prepared and emailed to students for the fall 2012 semester.
  • Final college transcripts and high school transcripts (if necessary). 
  • Forward official transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Register for Saturday of Service happening August 25, 2012.
  • Join myBROCKPORT.
  • August 24: Open registration for all new students who have not registered for classes.
  • August 26: New Transfer Welcome Luncheon. RSVP required.
  • August 27: Fall classes begin.
