Refunds
All tuition, BSG Fee or room refunds are effective on the date the adjustment
is recorded in the Registrar's Office, or on the date of separation as
recorded in the Separations Office. Students who will be separating from
the College must file a Voluntary Leave Form with the Separations Office.
Tuition Refunds
The SUNY Board of Trustees has established the refund policy for tuition as follows:
- Separation during the first week of classes - 100 percent refund
- Separation during the second week of classes - 70 percent refund
- Separation during the third week of classes - 50 percent refund
- Separation during the fourth week of classes - 30 percent refund
- Separation after the fourth week of classes - No refund
The first week of
classes is defined as the first seven calendar days of the semester. Semesters
that begin during the week (e.g., Wednesday) are considered to have the
first week end on the following Tuesday.
College Fee Refund
The College Fee is
not refundable after classes have begun for the semester.
BSG, Technology, Athletic, and Health Fee Refunds
The Brockport Student Government (BSG), Technology, Athletic, and Health fees are refundable as follows:
- Separation during the first week of classes - 100 percent refund
- Separation during the second week of classes - 70 percent refund
- Separation during the third week of classes - 50 percent refund
- Separation during the fourth week of classes - 30 percent refund
- Separation after the fourth week of classes - No Refund
Installment Payment Plan Fee
The Installment Payment Plan Fee is not refundable after classes have
begun for the semester.
Room Refunds
Check-in through mid-term: 50 percent refund
After mid-term: No refund

The committee will not consider any case that involves
a protested check, or any account, which has been turned over to a collection
agency or the New York State Attorney General's Office until the account
is cleared.
