New York State Tuition Status

Eligibility for New York state tuition status is based upon being a New York state resident. Requirements for establishing New York state residency vary for different individuals. Residency of financially dependent minors is the same as their custodial parents. International students studying in the United States may or may not be able to establish New York state residency depending on their visa type. It is advisable to check with the Office of Student Accounts prior to completing the Application for New York State Tuition Status.

Questions should be directed to Andrea Vella, Assistant to the Director, Office of Student Accounts, in writing or by calling (585) 395-2213.

The completed application must be notarized and submitted to SUNY College at Brockport, Office of Student Accounts, Attn: Residency Officer, 350 New Campus Drive, Brockport, NY 14420-2938. Applications should include appropriate forms of documentation. Proof of residency is the responsibility of the student.
