Bachelor of Arts Student Learning Goals

1. Knowledge of business: Students are knowledgeable of business and economics with an international and interdisciplinary perspective.

a. Define business-related vocabulary.

b. Apply important business concepts, skills, and theories.

c. Identify the societal, ethical, legal, political, and diversity issues that impact business environment.

d. Analyze international business and economic issues.

 

2. Information literacy: Students are literate in business information and tools.

a. Use appropriate tools to support business analysis.

b. Use business-related software effectively.

c. Apply appropriate sources of data and information, including library and on-line sources.

 

3. Analytical and critical thinking ability: Students are capable of critically analyzing business data and conditions.

a. Analyze business and economic data and conditions.

b. Utilize critical thinking skills.

 

4. Communication skills: Students are effective communicators.

a. Communicate effectively in oral format.

b. Communicate effectively in written format.

 

5. Global awareness: Students are capable of working in a global setting.
