"The College at Brockport provided me with a solid, affordable foundation for an advanced degree. As a student there, I always gave it my best - and I believe they gave me their best. The excellent classroom instruction sparked an interest in finance and economics. That desire, in turn, led to a full-tuition graduate research assistantship at a graduate university. In graduate school, I found myself well prepared for advanced work in my chosen field of study."
Beth Lasda, '91, Account Manager, EKCC Trade Collections
"In the (graduate) classroom, I found myself with students from other prestigious schools. My undergraduate preparation from The College at Brockport was more than adequate. I was very pleased to find myself on par with the other qualified students in my graduate classes."
David Hallady, '93, Finance, M&T Bank, Buffalo, NY Executive Associate-Commercial Banking, (graduate of University of Rochester, Simon School)
"My education at The College at Brockport has been an integral part of the success in my life, career, and post graduate education. It would be very easy for faculty at any college to give their students the right answers, but my business professors at The College at Brockport only pointed me in the right direction so that my skills could be developed. Through their presentation of challenging situations and developing my analytical skills, I have become a more valuable employee as well as better person."
Kathryn A Bieler,'94, First Data Corp.
"My education at Brockport laid a strong foundation of knowledge upon which I have been able to build a successful career. The quality and breadth of business education I received was excellent. I found both the course content & instructors to be challenging and enlightening. I use my Brockport education everyday, whether in preparing a business plan, a set of financial projections, or a company valuation or in negotiating the merger & acquisition of one of my clients. I don't believe that any College or University could have better educated and prepared me for my eventual career than did The College at Brockport."
John H. Ganster, '95, Vice President, The Weinstein Group
"My education was top notch at Brockport. I think the best proof of this is the fact that I passed two parts of the Certified Public Accountancy exam before I even graduated and I passed the other two parts by November of 1996. As an individual, you need to recognize opportunities and take advantage of them when they come, but at the same time it helps when you are at a place where opportunities already exist or are continuously coming up. Brockport was that kind of place, and continues to be that kind of place in my mind."
Michael Mellace, '95, Senior Financial Analyst, Ziff-Davis

"The Business education and training I received while attending The College at Brockport was at a world-class level. All of my professors helped hone my natural business skills and talents, thus truly giving me the ability to compete and eventually run a business in the global marketplace of today. I felt that the faculty in the Business department were very well rounded with excellent industry experience coupled with outstanding academic credentials, this was very important to me as a young budding entrepreneur. I reflect back often and routinely point to my experiences and education from The College at Brockport that has aided me in the journey of business. The results of this education have paid incredible dividends in my life as President and C.O.O of a global manufacturing company, the ownership and sale of a successful business, negotiating mergers and acquisitions, serving as President of a prominent industry board and a being able to handle the myriad of every day challenges that face you in the life of business. Thank you The College at Brockport for your part in the success and development of my business career."

"The business world is constantly changing. If it's not a new product or service, it's a new way of creating that product or a better way of performing that service. The ability to change is the predominant factor in today's successful businesses. My time at The College at Brockport redirected my mind-set to this very philosophy; I learned what is needed to succeed in today's business world. More importantly though, I learned how to adapt to change, to help others to change, and to create tomorrow."
Frank J. Mead, '98, MIS Manager, I/TS Data Administration, Met Life
"The College at Brockport's business management program provided an excellent professional education which helped me begin an exciting and challenging career in Human Resource Management. The skills and knowledge that I learned and developed at The College at Brockport have become valuable tools in my career. The courses provided up-to-date business practices from writing formats and presentations to team building skills, which are essential to succeed in today's business world. The small class sizes provided an atmosphere that allowed for personalized attention, in-depth class discussions and the ability to form a bond between classmates and professors. The College at Brockport's business program is truly an extraordinary asset to students, faculty, businesses and the community."
Sheri Spara, '99 - Taylor Staffing, Buffalo, N.Y.
"The faculty of The College at Brockport's School of Business Administration and Economics aided in my educational development by instructing the fundamentals of business practices. The students are provided with case studies, corporate guest speakers, group and individual simulation projects, and applicable publications. Specifically, the Human Resources area within the management concentration offered this coursework as well as a student chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Students were encouraged, not for college credit, to take the Professional of Human Resources certification exam with additional preparatory instruction from the faculty. I passed the exam and obtained employment at the University of Rochester's Human Resources Department. The College at Brockport's Business Management faculty extend their educational and developmental assistance beyond the classroom to provide students with advanced qualifications in order to compete in the current job market."
Jennifer Wittmeyer, '99, Human Resources Liaison, University of Rochester
"I could not have made a better choice for my undergraduate studies then The College at Brockport. Brockport has a faculty and staff of top notch educators whose support and enthusiasm serve to energize the entire campus. As a 2000 alum I feel fully confident in my knowledge of Business and Accounting while beginning my graduate studies."
Rochelle Gray, '00 Fiscal Manager, Ontario County Health Finance Office
"I attended The College at Brockport from 1996 through 2000 for Business Administration. I found the program to be extremely challenging and constructive. The education I gained from this program was exceptional. I felt that not only did the professors care about my education, but also cared about me personally. Attending this program changed my perception of my own abilities as well as changed the perceptions of people that have surrounded me in life. I truly changed into an academically minded person with the support and encouragement of this institution."

"As a member of the accounting field I can say with confidence that my experience at Brockport fully prepared me for my new career. While attending Brockport, the faculty was supportive not only in developing textbook knowledge but also in grooming a professional attitude. They were dedicated to a student's holistic growth. Faculty encouraged and provided the opportunity to participate in local accounting chapter meetings. This networking provided me the incentive to pursue an internship with a local accounting firm. With support of faculty I succeeded in landing the internship which led to subsequent full time employment. I continue to be pleased with The College at Brockport's accounting program."

"The classes and curriculum are dynamic to keep pace (if not ahead) of the ever-changing business world. The faculty is top-notch and will accommodate each student's special needs (as I may personally attest to - i.e., co-ops; independent studies; and personal advice about my future). They go far beyond the call of duty to help prepare each student for life beyond school. The business program offers students many co-op and intern opportunities that offer invaluable work experience prior to graduation. The school itself is set in a quaint little village just minutes from the city of Rochester (a city with numerous job opportunities). My experience at Brockport was very rewarding and left me with many job offers; I would recommend this affordable institution to any and all."
Brian Sauers, '01, Staff Accountant & Cost Segregation Analyst, Bonadio Group
"I transferred to The College at Brockport from a large college in Boston after visiting every college in the Rochester area. I chose to continue my education at Brockport after a tour and meeting with some of the professors. The business department gave me the impression that they cared about my education and preparing me for my future. Now, three years later, I am a graduate of the school and I know they gave me the right impression and that I made the right decision. Since the School of Business Administration and Economics is constantly changing their curriculum to fit with the demands of the business world we are better prepared. While I was there, the accounting department instated a class that not only required us to join a professional organization, it taught us how to write effective resumes, conduct ourselves in an interview, write thank you letters, network, and other things to prepare us for obtaining a job in the accounting profession. Since that class, I have been offered every job and internship I have interviewed for. I am currently an accountant at a local firm and I love the work that I do. The adjustment from school to work was very easy because I knew what to expect and how to do my job. I know that I have not only chosen the right school but I have chosen the right profession too."
