Welcome Corporate Partners

The SUNY College at Brockport Department of Business Administration and Economics Career Office is committed to serving juniors and seniors majoring in Business (with concentrations in Finance, Management, and Marketing), Accounting, and International Business. We work alongside the Main Career Service Office that serves all students on campus. Our goals as follows:

  • Assist with your recruiting needs (i.e. position advertising, referrals, etc.)
  • Source candidates and foster placements
  • Build your brand on campus
  • Prepare our students for their professional endeavors

For more information please see our services listed below, click on one of the links to the left or email Jeffrey Taylor, Director of Career Development for Business Administration and Economics.

To post a job/internship, please email a description to jdtaylor@brockport.edu or fax to 585-395-2542. Business Career Services offers a number of recruiting and branding options:

Résumé Collections, Referral Programs & Postings

  • Provide a job or internship description and a deadline date, and Business Career Services will collect résumés and send them to you by e-mail, fax, and/or postal mail by your desired date.
  • A cost effective way to begin a recruiting relationship and to review the caliber of Brockport students.
  • The Business Career Center will market your posting to qualified candidates and ensure, whenever possible, resumes with the strongest academic and experiential profiles will be included.
  • Jobs and internships may also be posted to our web-based system for students. Resumes will be sent as students apply. (In resume collections, all applicants are forwarded in one bundle/batch.)

 On-Campus Interviewing and Career Days

  • Promote your organization or interview on our campus, schedules can easily be arranged.
  • You may also attend and interview candidates at our Career Fairs. SUNY Brockport holds two annually: fall and spring.
  • Mock Interview Program: Each fall and spring, Business Career Services invites professionals to assist with professional development by conducting practice interviews with students. This is an excellent way to informally meet with students. Often, employers meet potential candidates through this program.

Internship Program

  • An opportunity to evaluate students’ skill sets over a short duration (semester or summer). You determine the projects. Students may work full or part-time and may be eligible for academic credit.
  • Approximately 76 percent of employers reported higher retention rates among students directly converted from their internships programs (NACE, 2005)

Whether you're looking for a part-time college employee, a new post-graduate hire, or an intern, Business Career Services works to match your needs to our students' interests and qualifications.
