Department of Business
Administration and Economics
Career Development Center

Welcome Parents!

The mission of the Department of Business Administration & Economics is to provide access to a high-quality undergraduate business education for students that have demonstrated the prerequisite ability to succeed. The Department's programs accommodate a broad spectrum of students with varied interests, including transfer and non-traditional students. The Department contributes to student success by preparing students for entry into professional business careers and graduate studies. Students learn theories of business and economics and develop important business skills.

To this end, the Department maintains an office of Business Career Services to prepare students for internships and entry-level positions. Business Career Services works in conjunction with the main Office of Career Services to provide the best services to your son or daughter. Our resources include: job search coaching, career exploration, access to entry-level jobs, internship programs, BUS 389 (business etiquette and job search course), interview preparation, graduate school advising, and an active employer outreach program.

By providing the tools and resources, students are able to understand their post-graduation options and make sound career decisions. To help you can engage in career planning with your son or daughter, you may wish to visit Jobweb.com's section for parents to review a variety of helpful articles.

Feel free to contact our office at anytime. You may call our Director, Jeffrey Taylor, at 585-395-5459 or send him an e-mail at jdtaylor@brockport.edu.
