Michael J. Braunscheidel, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Production and Operations Management
Michael J. Braunscheidel joined the faculty of SUNY Brockport in 2005. Previously he was a Plant Manager at Pierce & Steven Corporation and is still a registered professional engineer in the State of New York. He has a Ph.D. in Operations Management and Strategy from the SUNY Buffalo, an M.B.A. from the Canisius College (Buffalo), and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit.
Professor Braunscheidel teaches courses in production and operations management and statistics. His research interests include supply chain agility, manufacturing agility, and the incorporation of organizational behavioral concepts into the study of supply chain management (e.g. organizational culture, organizational learning and market orientation), and leadership. His dissertation was titled Antecedents of Supply Chain Agility: An Empirical Investigation.
In his spare time, Professor Braunscheidel enjoys watching sports especially football (Bills) and baseball (Yankees), softball, golf, gardening, reading, spending time with family and friends, and live theatre. He is a Lector at St. Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Church.
