Thomas Cone joined the faculty of SUNY Brockport in 2002. Previously he was a Lecturer at Wayne State University (Detroit, MI). He has both his Ph.D. and M.S. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University (University Park) and a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College (Hartford, CT).
Professor Cone teaches courses pertaining to macroeconomics, money, and the financial system. His research interests are in monetary economics, financial markets, macroeconomics, and expectations formation (adaptive learning and endogenous information acquisition). His main research in progress focuses on monetary policy and expectations formation. Dr. Cone’s research has been published in The Journal of Monetary Economics, Economics Letters, and Computational Economics.
In his spare time, Professor Cone thinks about the drum set gathering dust in his basement.
