H. Evren Damar, Ph.D.Assistant Professor of EconomicsEvren Damar joined the faculty of SUNY Brockport in 2007. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Washington (Seattle, WA) and a B.S. in Industrial Management, Economics and History from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA). Dr. Damar teaches courses in macroeconomics, money and banking. His research interests include the impact of mergers and acquisitions, technological improvements and (de)regulation on bank performance and credit flows. Some of his current research specifically focuses financial institutions that provide credit for the poor. Professor Damar’s research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Banking & Finance and Applied Economics.
