After an M.B.A. degree and three years of professional experience, Dr. Gardner attended The Ohio State University and earned a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Marketing. He won an award for having the best dissertation in Logistics in 1990.
Professor Gardner's research interests include partnership formation in marketing channels, industrial distribution relationships, and ethical business practices.
Dr. Gardner has published in The Journal of Business Logistics, The International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Marketing Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Channels, Logistique et Management, Logistique Magazine, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, and in the The International Journal of Logistics Management. He has presented at numerous professional gatherings such as the conferences of the Council of Logistics Management, the Marketing Science Institute, Academy of Marketing Science Conference and the AMA Educators Conference. Dr. Gardner has provided executive development programs in partnership implementation and international logistics.
