Yusuf A. Nur Ph. D.

Assistant Professor of Strategic Management and International Business

Dr. Yusuf A. Nur joined the faculty of SUNY Brockport in 2003. Previously he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He has a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Indiana University in Bloomington, an M.B.A. from California State University in Fresno, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Military Technical College in Cairo, Egypt. 

Dr. Nur teaches courses in international business and strategic management. He has teaching experiences in both areas at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Dr. Nur’s research interests include strategic leadership; cultural aspects of international management; entrepreneurship and globalization and their impacts on economic development.  Dr. Nur has presented at numerous conferences, and his research has been published in Silicon Valley Review of Global Entrepreneurship Research, Bildhaan: An International Journal of Somali Studies; Psychological Reports, and Business Horizons. 

In his spare time, Professor Nur enjoys bicycle riding, hiking, and camping.
