Kyongsei Sohn joined the faculty of SUNY Brockport in 2008. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The George Washington University and M.A. in Economics from Georgetown University. Before joining as a faculty member of our department, Dr. Sohn was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Sohn teaches courses in microeconomics and statistics.
His research interests involve health economics, applying microeconomic principles to understanding the costs and benefits of health care services. Dr. Sohn's research has appeared in Journal of Medical Economics, Chest, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics. Currently, he is working on epidemiological modeling of viral marketing and estimation of the long-term costs of common chronic muscular-skeletal diseases.
Dr. Sohn enjoys traveling, cooking, and gardening with his family.
