Melissa Waite, Ph.D., SPHR

Associate Professor of Management

Dr. Waite joined the faculty in September 1996, and holds a Ph.D. and M.B.A. from the University at Buffalo, and a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Plattsburgh. She teaches Human Resource Management, Advanced HR, Management Topics, Project Management/Management Skills and Strategic Management.

She has published her research in several journals, among them Journal of Quality Management, Current Topics in Management, Compensation and Benefits Review, Journal of Private Enterprise, and Psychological Reports.

Among her recent teaching accomplishments are leading student-run businesses which contribute their proceeds to the Frank Beltran Memorial Scholarship Fund, creator and editor-at-large of the student-run biweekly newsletter The Business Beacon, the development of student ePortfolios, and conducting and presenting a student-led strategic audit of PAETEC Communications, a Rochester Top 100 firm.

Melissa resides in Spencerport with her husband and their four children.
