International Business MajorAs the only major of its type in the SUNY system, International Business at Brockport provides the broad-based knowledge and skills needed for managers in business, government and international organizations. Students in the program develop skills in: (1) accounting, management, finance, marketing and the theory and practice of world trade; (2) a foreign language of their choice; (3) understanding the cross-cultural awareness needed to function effectively in various cultural contexts. Students have the opportunity to participate in overseas internships and can enroll in one of the largest study abroad programs in the country with 22 programs in 11 countries. International Business consists of (1) prerequisites, (2) international business core, (3) foreign language, (4) cross-cultural core, and (5) foreign experience requirements as specified below.
Note: Students must complete the prerequisite courses with an average prerequisite grade point of at least 3.0 and no grade below "C-" to be certain that they will be admitted to the major.
