Marketing MajorThe Marketing Program at SUNY Brockport leads to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing. Students majoring in Marketing must complete all College general education requirements plus four groups of business-related courses as follows: (1) prerequisites, (2) corequisites, (3) business core courses, and (4) upper-level marketing courses. Students without significant work experience are strongly encouraged to also complete at least one internship experience. Minimal course grade and program admissions standards apply. The following is the curriculum for the B.S. in Marketing and applies to students matriculating Spring 2006 and later:
Note: To satisfy degree requirements for the B.S. in Marketing, students must: (1) earn a cumulative GPA of 2.5, with no grade lower than C-, in prerequisite courses, to guarantee admission to the program; others may be admitted at the discretion of the Department of Business Administration and Economics on a space-available basis. (2) Earn a grade of at least C- in all prerequisite, corequisite, business core and marketing courses. (3) Earn an overall GPA of 2.0 in all courses used to satisfy the prerequisite, corequisite, business core and marketing courses.
